In order that your company can achieve certification and the necessary industry standards, we will work with you to determine the programme of work which will need to be undertaken to reach this goal. This programme of work will take you from your current situation through to assessment and ultimately, certification. This full consultancy service includes:

  • Preparation of all documentation
  • Assistance with implementation
  • Training and support
  • A fixed price contract
  • Successful certification guaranteed (assuming you are committed to achieving certification, HPA will continue to support you until this is achieved at no extra cost)
  • UKAS accredited certification

We will undertake a comprehensive gap analysis of your company’s existing activities and procedures against the requirements of the standard you hope to attain and identify all the areas which fail to meet the requirements. Next, we draft a project plan which identifies the activities necessary to achieve registration, defining the timescale and identifying who is responsible for each activity. We will draft a manual which will define in principle how you will address each of the sections of the Standard. Then we draft the required procedures and any supporting documentation which covers the day to day operating systems required to meet the Standard. Our consultancy services also include implementation support and guidance, guidance on the choice of assessment body and assistance with the application, internal auditor training and a preliminary audit prior to the formal assessment. To ensure you achieve registration the above programme will be spread over a 3 to 6-month period. The work will be undertaken by one of our senior consultants supported by one of the partners and support staff where required.

Assessment is carried out by a UKAS accredited assessment body independent of HPA. Their service includes initial audit and certification to the required standard in two stages:

  • Stage 1 is a gap analysis to establish any omissions in your management systems
  • Stage 2 is the final audit which results in your certification

Plus, approximately 12 months following certification you will receive an annual re-audit (surveillance visit) to maintain your certification.
